Gastritis is an inflammatory and may cause erosion of the lining in the stomach which can be acute or chronic in nature. This may be due to consumption of alcohol, spicy foods, stress, or the use of certain medicines e.g. aspirin or other anti-inflammatory drugs.

Treatment
