A migraine is a severe throbbing pain that is often accompanied by nausea and\/or vomiting, sensitivity to bright light, sound and prefer a calm atmosphere and can last few hours to few days at a time. The patient feels the headache either one side of head or entire head region. It may increase when going out in the sunlight accompanying with constipation. It occurs when the blood vessels enlarge and nerve fibers release chemicals around these nerve vessels. If one parent has a history of migraine, the child will have a 50% chance of developing Migraine. When both parents have it, the chances jump to 75%.
One cause for women to develop migraines is the menstrual cycle. While it does not happen every month, it can still occur. Other causes include alcohol, irregular or lack of sleep, skipping meals, tension headaches, as well as bright lights and loud noises<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
